Practicing for nearly 30 years, he maintained a patient-centered philosophy of service to the community with a record of having delivered over 5200 babies. Building upon his philosophy of service, Dr. Gingrey served on the Marietta City School Board for four years - including three years as Chairman. With his extensive medical, school board, and community experience, Dr. Gingrey went on to serve four years in the Georgia State Senate. On November 4th, 2002, the People of Georgia’s 11th District elected Phil Gingrey to represent them in Congress. From his first day on the job, Congressman Gingrey has remained dedicated to fighting for the commonsense, conservative values of Northwest Georgia and Georgians everywhere. Congressman Gingrey has never shied away from his commitment to protect the sanctity of human life, defend the right to keep and bear arms, ensure quality healthcare for all Americans, support lower taxes and fewer regulations, and fight for a secure border and a safer homeland. In Congress, Phil has worked to strengthen our military and support our soldiers at home and abroad as a Member of the Armed Services Committee. Currently, Phil serves on the powerful Energy and Commerce Committee where he is fighting for our conservative principles on issues such as energy and health care. Phil and his wife, Billie, have been married for over 39 years. Billie grew up in Newnan and graduated from LaGrange College. Throughout both of their careers, they have remained dedicated first and foremost to their family. They are the proud parents of four: Billy, Gannon, Phyllis, and Laura Neill.
